Kit review: Zoggs Sea Change Silver Lined Scoopback Swimsuit
Reviewed by Emily
FEATURES
This scoop back swimsuit from Zoggs is specifically designed for open water swimming, and features a thermal silver lining which helps the body retain heat. The outer fabric is chlorine resistant and made from recycled plastic, and has a really nice soft yet supportive feel.
SIZE AND FIT
This swimsuit is available up to a size 26 (though the details for this size aren’t available on the size chart), and Emily is wearing a size 24. The size chart says that this fits a 48” chest and a 50” hip, whereas I have a 47” bust and 53.3” hips. I really like the size of this suit, I have quite a long body so if I am new to a brand, I usually size up to give a little bit more fabric, and this one feels really comfortable.
PERFORMANCE
I have really enjoyed swimming in this suit. The thermal lining definitely offers some protection and makes the first entry into cold water just a little bit easier. The shoulder straps don’t slide off at all, and the cut around the bust gives really good coverage and leaves my boobs feeling covered and secure. The height of the leg holes is just how I like them - definitely nothing high cut to see here, and comfortable even though my hips are bigger than the size chart suggests they should be for this size. I also really enjoy the super bright colours on the fabric - guaranteed to bring a smile along to any swim! There are a couple of different cuts and prints available in the outdoor swimming range, and it is really nice to see a company using a variety of bodies in their promotional photos.
